[Julia] did a fantastic job engaging with the students through her talk. It was so helpful for the students to hear about her vulnerability, the challenges she faced and what she did to find her voice. It was also important for each student to hear that overcoming these obstacles is a life-long process and not every day will be a great day, but there are so many people who are here to support the students and they are not the only ones facing these challenges.
— Nicole Powell, Assistant Principal at Oakland Catholic High

Julia blew me away with her willingness to be vulnerable in front of this group, and with her ability to engage over 100 high school female students with her storytelling. Julia does her homework and creates a powerful experience when she gets in front of an audience.
— Doan Winkel, Muldoon Center of Entrepreneurship

VulnerABLE

How to spark change in yourself and for the greater good, own your voice and authenticity, and accept the voices around you.

Do you….

...ever feel defined by your mistakes?

...play into the judgements and persona that others project on to you, questioning your own worth?

….struggle with feelings of doubt, fear, and confusion, not sure what’s realistic and “normal?”

….ever regret saying something, playing a situation over and over again in your head, trying to find answers?

….struggle with knowing the meaning and importance of love and connection?

….judge others and are not sure how to stop?

Let’s talk about why it is vital to notice the meaning of the word -able in the word, “vulnerable.” Too many people are stuck in cycles of fixations and self doubt about themselves and others. Real Relationships

Commitment and Growth in Relationships
How can we notice the bigger, realistic meaning of unconditional love and connection, using this knowledge to strengthen our relationships with family, friends, and partners? With the presence of media and a multi-billion dollar self-help community filled with clutter and how-to’s, many people are left always trying to find “the next best thing” and not sure how to navigate rough patches in the road in relationships.

Julia shares the knowledge she learned from being in a long-distance and long-term relationship alongside Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, as well as talking through her growth in toxic relationships with friends, family, and romantically. Golden Buzzer Moments

Entrepreneurship

Do you…

….not know where to begin to make your dreams come to life?

….feel stuck or impatient working toward your dream goal(s)?

….have trouble networking and meeting new people?

One of the most beautiful sights to see is watching someone’s dream unfold… watching someone’s reaction when they reach their goal… watching society impacted by another’s talent. Whether a doctor completing a procedure, a teacher successfully teaching a difficult lesson to a class full of students, a singer on stage in front two people or two thousand people, a dancer perfecting a routine, or simply running down a soccer field, enjoying every moment of the process: these are all examples of people living and sharing their talents with the world. Julia helps the audience visualize themselves in the stories that inspire them, rather than needing to live someone else’s success or dreams. Maybe we miss our Golden Buzzer Moments because of stress, not appreciating the moment in front of us, critics, or the like.

Learn about the reality of the processes behind success, the importance of patience, and the importance of networking. What is one of your Golden Buzzer Moments: Something in your life that makes you feel incredible? Maybe it’s something that has not happened yet, a goal you hope to reach in the future, even something that may seem so small, like finishing a book one has been trying to finish for months on end. These moments, no matter how big or small they may seem to some, hold true value in our lives.

Julia shares her journey as a student entrepreneur and professional speaker in a compelling and interactive way to help others understand the process behind living their dreams. Through speaking, discussion, videos, and activities, Julia brings stories to life by relating to the audience. Learn how to take action to reach your very own Golden Buzzer Moment.
